Bi-annually the UK’s major rail industry suppliers convene for Railtex. This year the venue returned to Earls Court, London – a change from the recent Birmingham NEC venue. There were almost 300 exhibitors and a steady stream of visitors, especially on the middle day of three.
Henry Williams Ltd took the opportunity to launch their new Functional Supply Point (FSP), pictured. These units are becoming increasingly popular for standard signalling supply in new schemes so the unique HWL approach of not only manufacturing the FSP enclosure but also pre-fabricating it both mechanically and electrically generated a great deal of interest.
This combination of manufacturing capability across the mechanical and electrical sectors was also shown on the stand by the fitted out location case. The location case was our newly designed economy case which incorporated several novel features that achieve manufacturing savings without compromising the traditional build quality associated with HWL cases.
Railtex 2009 was an excellent opportunity to display our two new products as well as renew acquaintances across the railway sector.
